There are three problems, no matter what type of shelf is designed. So, what are the three specific problems?
1. Shelf bearing
The design of storage shelves needs to determine the load of each layer according to the weight of the storage shelves, and the overall shelf should also have a maximum weight limit. In this regard, there is a safety factor recommended standard, without any mandatory, the higher the general safety factor, the longer the shelf life, the cost will increase accordingly, the channel shelves will be designed and selected according to the actual situation.
2. Forklift operation channel
When planning storage shelves, the storage area is divided into two parts, with forklift operation channels in the middle and shelves on both sides. The width required for operation is vacated between shelves and shelves. At the same time, the turning radius of forklift should also be considered. Forklift operation channel = minimum turning radius front overhang (distance from front wheel center to fork surface) The cargo length is 200mm, which is about 2.7~3.5. The smaller the channel, the harder it is, the higher the requirements for forklift driver.
3. Stacking height
The planning of storage shelves takes into account the net height of the warehouse, that is, the distance from the lowest obstacle (lighting system, etc.) at the top of the warehouse to the bottom of the warehouse, rather than the height of the warehouse, which will affect the efficiency of forklift operations. At the same time, the stacking height of each layer of goods will also be taken into account, which directly affects the safety of goods storage and the setting of the size of the cargo space, reducing the rate of loss of goods.
The above three points are the elements that we must take into account when planning and designing shelves. Ignoring any point may lead to potential safety hazards in the shelves you design. Remember not to forget.
